Our Story

Freedom House began as Lovell Heights Church of God when a small group of people began meeting in a log cabin in 1982. The vision was simple, but powerful:
to make Jesus known to a West Knoxville community that consisted of mainly farm land and residential properties. The church moved to its current site on Lovell Rd. in 1987
and built a portion of the current facility.
As the church grew, the facility expanded to include a larger sanctuary, several new classrooms and space for children and student ministries.
In 2009, the decision was made to relaunch the church as Freedom House in order to refocus the vision and mission of the church.
